Sev mamra (puffed rice) or murmure is light yet filling and addictive snacks. It can be made easily under 5 minutes with very few ingredients

  • 2 cups puffed rice murmure/ mamra
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 3-4 Curry leaves
  • 4-5 Peanuts optional
  • A pinch of asafetida
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar or as needed Optional
  1. Heat oil in a medium sized pan on medium heat
  2. Add peanuts fry till color start changing
  3. Add curry leaves fry for a minute or till peanuts changes color to light brown
  4. Add asafetida, turmeric powder, chili powder and mix it
  5. Immediately add puffed rice, salt and mix it.
  6. Roast puffed rice till they become crispy
  7. Turn off the heat and add sugar
  8. Add sev (savory gram flour noodles) and mix it.
