Ingredients
  • 500 ml full-fat milk
  • 1/8 cup khoya crumbled
  • 12-25 strands saffron
  • 5-7 almonds sliced
  • 5-7 cashew nuts sliced
  • 5-7 pistachios sliced
  • 2 tbsp sugar adjust according to your taste
  • 2 pinch cardamom
Instructions
  1. Soak the saffron strands in 2 tbsp of milk for 2 hours or for quicker use gently warm 2 tbsp milk and saffron in a small saucepan and set aside.

  2. Boil rest of the milk in a pan.

  3. Add khoya and cook for 5 mins.

  4. Add saffron soaked in milk, almonds, cashew nuts, and pistachios and boil on low heat for 40-45 minutes.

  5. Add sugar and cardamom.

  6. Serve hot or chilled

Recipe Notes
  • You can add poppy seeds, chironji, dates or any other dry fruits of your choice
  • You can change full-fat milk to any vegan milk to make this recipe vegan
